Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about pre-need planning. For anything else, call us in English or Spanish.

What is pre-need funeral planning?

Pre-need planning means deciding on and arranging cremation or burial plans ahead of time, so your wishes are clear and your family is not left to decide during a difficult moment.

Are you a funeral home?

No. SoCal Funeral Plans provides planning assistance. We are not a licensed funeral home, mortuary, or crematory, and we do not perform direct services. We help you compare options and arrange a plan with a licensed provider.

What is the difference between cremation and burial?

Cremation uses heat to reduce the body to ashes; burial places the body in a grave. Each has variations like direct, memorial, or traditional services. We walk you through the differences so you can choose with confidence.

How much do plans cost?

We do not publish prices. For a free, no-obligation estimate, call (323) 784-3055 or request one through our free resources page.

What are the free resources?

We offer a free PDF funeral guide, free will information, and a free no-obligation estimate. Request them through our Free Resources page and we follow up by phone or email. The free will is general information, not legal advice.

Do you beat or match other plans?

Ask us to match or beat another funeral plan. Eligibility and terms apply.

What languages do you speak?

We speak English and Spanish. Hablamos inglés y español.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
